LL[Rough Draft]

Mandy was a beautiful girl with a smile that would pierce your mind
Eyes of golden sunshine, hair that was fine like wine
Kept it cool in situations that were heated,
Seated in the middle row of Chemistry class, when she felt a sudden urge
Her thoughts merged with attraction,
She fell victim to a girl, who had hair of gold strings, hips of a python
and eyes of a diamond
She was confused and alert, she never felt this way before
At home she laid down in her bed and closed the door
Stared at the ceiling and started thinking about her
Before she knew it, she wanted to hold that same girl she saw
Put her hands all over her skin, and gently run it down her spine
She slept and had fantasy’s hoping it was reality,
Woke up in cold sweats, sexually exhausted, breathing hard
Tossing and turning was applied and she felt like all of this was a lie
That the next morning this would all be a sick dream
She thought wrong, she still felt the same way, she looked in the mirror
Touching her entire body, wondering whats going on, trying to understand
Questions arise, “Am I going through a phase?” was the phrase that kept repeating,
Sitting in Chemistry class again, she was instantly locked on the same girl she thought of the entire night
She went up to her and befriended her, got to know her, her name was Ashley
Knew everything about her, found out she was Bi, found out that she was ashamed of her sexuality, ashamed to tell her friends about everything she was feeling, afraid to lose those friends she loved dearly
Mandy felt good, inside she wanted to keep this secret as the heart of her hope
Knowing that she ain’t alone,
At home she would be timid and quiet, changed her style.
She would soon subconsciously start to argue with her father about
Gay marriage
You see her father was a devoted catholic, believed that
Love was only between man and a woman, that love other than that was forsaken and forbidden
That what was written in the bible was set in stone, anything taken differently
Would burn with fire and brimstone
In the hells gates where “Fucking Gays” should burn.
She was just afraid to be honest, to be open with anything
Mandy and Ashley would come to grow fond of each other
Bond with each other, at nights she would sneak out
To be with her, Ashley told her that she “never felt so beautiful with her”
Mandy’s fingers gently massaged her hair out of Ashley’s view
Mandy leaned in for the kiss and gently plucked her lips onto hers
There love was secret in the public eye of there small town.
But when they were out, out of the city
They would walk by each others side, with hands gripped so hard that both of them would never let go
The world would scream, FUCKING GAYS
HOMOS,
ITS BETWEEN A MAN AND WOMAN, YOU BOTH ARE GOING TO HELL
Though they both looked like no words phased them, but there were going crazy inside.
Dying slowly inside but the love they had for each other was stronger than any word, that was thrown at them.
On the 4th of July Mandy went to sneak to Ashley’s house,
Where she would meet up and spend time.
They sat on a chrome truck in front of Ashley’s lawn
Mandy wanted to tell her how she feels inside how she wants to spend the rest of her life with her.
As the fireworks spread like a swarm of ducks migrating to the south,
Mandy saw the most beautiful star that outshined the firework
Mandy said Ashley baby I want to be with you till the day I die, till we depart and our hearts rot from the shallow lands of this earth
‘till the clouds birth a shine that drenches us with the light of an Angelic Halo.
Nobody will stop us and I want us to be together forever, like a feather in the sky.
You keep me elevated.
An engine roared…
Mandy’s father rolls up in a silver sedan, his eyes shocked and jaw broken open.
As he sees her daughter kiss another woman,
He screams, MANDY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING.
You’re lesbian? HOW COULD YOU, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT.
You’re going to hell for this.
Mandy was struck with a sudden set of tears and terrified
Mandy clinched Ashley’s hand and whispered to her, I love you Ashley whatever happens please don’t forget us.
Mandy was pulled into the car, Mandy’s arm was slipping slowly off of Ashley’s body, tears shattered on the ground, the sound of both there cries were drowned out by the fireworks.
Mandy’s father looked at Ashley and said
“You fucking demon bitch, don’t you let your lesbian disease touch my daughters frail weak body or I will kill you myself”
Mandy yelled out another shout of desperation,
“I love you”
She was never seen again, she was sent to a mental ward in Kansas
Where they treated the “gays”.
Mandy would never forget Ashley.
And Ashley would never forget Mandy
Love is a powerful thing, it has no gender nor race nor a sexual preference.
Love is everything that we are, and we are everything love is.
